President Dr. Kristi Snuggs Begins Her Tenure at CCSA

Dr. Kristi Snuggs has officially joined us as Child Care Services Association’s (CCSA) new President, leading our staff and driving the overall vision of CCSA. Prior to this role, Dr. Snuggs was the Deputy Director of the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE). In this role, she has worked with CCSA, the NC Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) Council, TEACH, WAGE$ and AWARD$. She has also worked at the national level on the Preschool Development Grant for North Carolina. Dr. Snuggs has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University, as well as a master’s in Child and Family Development from Appalachian State University, where she also obtained her bachelor’s degree. 

On November 1, 2022, Child Care Services Association welcomed its new President, Dr. Kristi Snuggs. CCSA held two welcoming social events at the Chapel Hill and Durham offices. During these gatherings, staff was encouraged to introduce themselves, chat and get to know Dr. Snuggs in person.

We are thrilled that Dr. Snuggs will lead the next chapter of CCSA’s growth. CCSA will continue working to bring families the absolute best experience possible and empower early childhood educators to keep fighting for the changes we desperately need.
