Cass Wolfe joined CCSA in 2019 as its Chief Strategy Officer. Cass works on multiple projects, including early childhood homelessness and the development of CCSA’s new strategic plan. With more than 40 years of experience in early childhood, Cass has held a number of positions with a variety of responsibilities. Cass has led workforce development initiatives on local and state levels, including serving as co-chair of Illinois’ Professional Development Advisory Council for eight years. There, Cass was deeply involved in the development of an entry-level teacher credential and a workforce registry. Other work includes leading training and technical assistance efforts, serving as the director of a large, urban Child Care Resource and Referral program and directing three early childhood centers. In addition to her focus on ECE workforce issues, Cass is passionate about infants and toddlers. Cass continues to engage in equity and diversity work and recognizes that the ECE field has much work to do in this regard. Cass moved from the Chicago area in 2015, first living in Charlotte and now in the Triangle.
