Child Care Services Association hires new communications manager

Chapel Hill, N.C., November 9, 2018: Child Care Services Association (CCSA) is pleased to announce Jennifer Gioia as its new Communications Manager. Gioia has worked in nonprofits for over five years, helping children live happy and successful lives, continuing the medical education of physicians in the Triangle and ensuring the stray animals of the Triangle find their forever homes. Gioia received her master’s in public relations from Kent State University and her bachelor’s in public relations from The State University of New York College at Plattsburgh.

“We are thrilled to have Jennifer spearheading the communications here at Child Care Services Association. We plan to increase our outreach efforts to those who truly need our services and funding across North Carolina, and with Jennifer on board, the future is promising,” said Marsha Basloe, CCSA’s President.

“I am extremely excited to begin helping the children and teachers of early childhood education in North Carolina through my role as communications manager,” said Gioia.

Founded in 1974, Child Care Services Association’s mission is to ensure affordable, accessible, high-quality child care for all young children and their families. CCSA provides free referral services to families seeking child care, technical assistance to child care businesses and educational scholarships and salary supplements to child care professionals through the T.E.A.C.H.
