Program Overview

Because the education level of early childhood teachers has been linked with quality care in numerous research studies, Child Care Services Association (CCSA) offers a variety of professional development opportunities to support high-quality services and actively encourages providers to enroll in early childhood courses at local community colleges or universities.

CEUs, administered by the Professional Development and Training Department (PDTD), align with the mission and goals of CCSA to ensure that all child care is of high quality through its programs and services. The mission of PDTD is to provide continuing education opportunities that meet the highest quality standards. The main goals are to (1) ensure that all early education and school-age child care meets the highest quality standards supporting the healthy development of children and (2) support adult learners to be highly competent and caring early childhood professionals. Using the ANSI/IACET Standard, CCSA is committed to assuring quality, affordable and accessible educational opportunities.
