Applying for 2018-2019 NC PreK

NC Pre-Kindergarten (NC Pre-K) is the state-funded, part-day preschool program designed to provide at-risk four-year-old children with a quality early childhood education.

Child Development Milestone Tracker

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is pleased to announce the launch of CDC’s Milestone Tracker – a free app for tracking every child’s development in a fun and easy way. This app adds to the popular suite of free, family-friendly materials available through CDC’s Learn the Signs. Act Early. program.

The new app offers:

  • Interactive milestone checklists for children ages 2 months through 5 years, illustrated with photos and videos
  • Tips and activities to help children learn and grow
  • Information on when to act early and talk with a doctor about developmental delays
  • A personalized milestone summary that can be easily shared with the doctor and other care providers
  • Reminders for appointments and developmental screening

The 2015 State of Child Care in the Triangle & State of Child Care in Region 12

CCSA is pleased to release the biennial update to The State of Child Care in the Triangle report.  This report is designed to inform and educate all those invested in the availability, affordability and quality of area child care.

This year, CCSA is also pleased to provide a companion piece to our biennial Triangle report, addressing child care in the broader region.  This report provides data on Alamance, Caswell, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Orange, Person, Vance and Wake counties.  Like the Triangle report, this publication is intended to inform and educate the larger community on child care issues in the greater region beyond the Triangle.
