The workforce that supports all other workforces deserves better. It’s time to set up a series of video meetings to discuss options to fund the salary scale developed and studied. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. Let’s commit in the new year to harness that will.

North Carolina child care programs received more than $135,000 in grants from the Child Care Services Association (CCSA) COVID-19 Relief Fund Phase II.
“I’m very fortunate because I am an essential worker and I’ve been working since day one, and we are lucky that no one has gotten sick,” said Melissa (Missy) Hamrick, director of Cleveland County’s Mama Lissa’s Tiny Tot University.
CCSA worked with Yale University Child Study Center to reach child care providers in N.C. The study found no differences in COVID-19 outcomes were observed between workers who continued to provide in-person care for young children and those who did not. Learn more here.
